As creators of the unlimited, designers and poets each have their own language. How big or small is the distance between the two? How does one visualise words and how does one verbalise an image? This question inspired Pieter Desmet and Jeroen Nauta to start woord-bijt-beeld, a project in which they let poets and designers respond to each others work during the course of five years. The result is a chain of images and words that shows the creative tension between the visual language used by designers and the verbal language used by poets.
