What should furnishings look like, in order to facilitate intellectual and creative concentration in a very small area, while leaving the surrounding common space as large and open as possible? Investigating this question has led to the creation of three objects that define a distinct space in different ways. The 'Paper Room' duplicates the shape of the gallery in which it is located on a smaller scale, thereby changing the perspectives of the room. With the raised workseat 'High Spot' one can climb up a ladder to occupy a different level, escaping to a higher place and utilising the space beneath the ceiling. The desk object 'Showcase' with a top-mounted screen and storage unit made of acrylic, allows users regulate their exposure and visibility to others while they work.
