J.P. Gaultier

A design for a catwalk and back wall for Jean-Paul Gaultier’s presentation of his 2004 women’s summer collection. Revealing and unveiling, a principal part of to clothing, is used as a design principle. Chairs and tables are pressed against an elastic skin, showing a skeleton of recognizable furniture forms. The backdrop connects arm rests and chair seats and merges into a domestic hybrid with the wall behind the fashion models.
